Brain fog surprises!

This one is short and a bit funny, let me explain… One of the side effects of my daily cancer meds is brain fog. Sometimes minor, and sometimes not so minor. Other side effects, such as insomnia, can make the brain fog even worse. On mild episodes a word may be forgotten mid-sentence, in more severe episodes important things are forgotten or over-looked and I find myself thinking “how did I miss that”. With that in mind, picture Christmas morning. My family is sitting around the tree opening gifts, many of which I purchased and wrapped. Usually, I give my son his gifts in the order I want him to open them, saving the “big gift” for last. Well, this past Christmas was different in the most hilarious way. When handing out the gifts the brain fog kicked in and I could not remember what was wrapped in many of the boxes! I bought them, and wrapped them, but couldn’t remember what many of them were so I was just as surprised as he was when he opened them! Nothing to do but laugh about it, right? It certainly made for some good laughs and good memories at my house on Christmas morning!
